JAMMU, June 3: The executive committee of retired Officers Forum, Jammu has voiced serious concern over the non-payment of 10% DA installment due on January 2014 and the balance amount of arrears of 6th Pay Commission to the Pensioners and State Government employees.
The callous attitude of the State Government towards its employees and pensioners notwithstanding their sufferings due to sky rocketing prices and inflation is disappointing. The Government does not seem to have learnt any lessons from dissatisfaction of the Pensioners, senior citizens, State employees and general public at large.
The Retired Officers Forum called upon the State Government to act quickly and restored the confidence of the State Pensioners/employees and release the due DA installment from 2014, arrears of 6th Pay Commission besides increasing the medical allowance to Rs 1000 per month.
They added that their long pending demands of raising pension after 80 years of age on the Central Pay Commission pattern should also be conceded in favour of senior Pensioners in view of their increased expanses on deteriorating healthcare.
