RAJOURI, July 1: Minister for Hajj, Auqaf and Floriculture, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed inaugurated new guest house building at Ziarat Shahdra Sharief here today.
The complex having 13 rooms equipped with all modern facility for the guest has been constructed by spending Rs 89 lakh from the sources of the Ziarat.
Minister of State for Health, Shabir Khan, who was accompanying Peerzada Sayeed announced opening of Out Patient Department (OPD) of one doctor at the Ziarat.
MLC, Jehangir Mir was also present on the occasion.
Later, the Minister also laid the foundation of kitchen-cum-dining hall at the Ziarat Sharief.
Peerzada said the complex would provide added facilities to devotees during their stay at the Ziarat. He also went round the Ziarat premises and took stock of pace of developmental activities being carried out for the development of the Ziarat. He directed the Administrator Shahdra Sharief for ensuring use of standard edible items in the langar of Ziarat, besides maintaining the hygienic environ in and around the Ziarat Sharief.
The Minister directed the management for making adequate arrangement for the devotees paying obeisance at the shrine and their comfortable stay, keeping in view the opening of Mughal Road and influx of devotees to the revered Ziarat.
Meanwhile, a delegation of local Imams and Ulema led by Imam u Khatib Jamia Masjid Rajouri also called on the Minister. The delegation demanded enhancement of their monthly honorarium, constitution of Madrassa Board and Advisory Committee for Ziarat Shahdara Sharief.
Later, the Minister also chaired a meeting of officers of District Administration and directed to provide uninterrupted power and water supply to the Ziarat. He also directed the PWD for maintenance of roads leading to the revered Ziarat.
It was decided in the meeting that the maintenance of Ziarat Sharief Parks would be done by the Floriculture Department. The PDD would maintain and look after the street lights from Thanamandi to Ziarat Sharief road, the meeting decided.
Peerzada also took stock of the pace of construction work on 3-storeyed Bait-ul- Zaireen coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 crore on which Rs. 2.65 crore have already been spent.
Taking serious note on slow pace of construction on the projects, he directed the executing agency for accelerating the pace of construction work ensuring their early completion for the convenience of devotees.
