JAMMU, Jan 18: In a meeting here today All J&K Power Employees and Engineers Coordination Committee (PEECC) has expressed resentment over the delay in release of salaries and regularisation after the unbundling of Power Develo-pment Depar-tment (PDD).
Speakers in the meeting said that PDD employees are doing job in all odd circumstances like rain, snowfall and serving the public but these employees are being made to suffer because of delay in release of their salaries due to non-transfer of requisitioned funds on time to the DDOs by the Managing Directors of these Corporations.
They also said that regularisation of daily wagers has also been completely halted in PDD which has dented the morale of the field staff serving the department since the last 20 years.
PEECC has expressed optimism that the management will take these issues seriously and issue directions for timely disbursement of salaries and regularisation so that employees do not suffer further on this account.
The meeting was attended by Sachin Tickoo, Convenor PEECC, Ajaz Kazmi, General Secretary PPEU, Sanjeev Bali, President PPEU, Kulbir Singh, Secretary and others.
