JAMMU, Nov 16: All J&K Power Employees and Engineers Coordination Committee (PEECC) in a meeting today urged the Government to regularize the daily wagers who have been awaiting regularization for many years.
In a handout PEECC Convener, Sachin Tickoo stated that the Government has operationalised the unbundling of PDD without resolving the basic issues of employee and there is a complete uncertainty prevailing among PDD employees.
He also said that there has been no SRO issued putting into public domain the new organization structure and the powers exercised by various officers.
“It’s unfortunate that poor daily wagers have to move from pillar to post to seek regularization. The Government should clear the broader issues that have arisen out of the unilateral action of unbundling by bringing out a white paper on the way ahead,” Tickoo maintained.
He also said that the Government should create the posts, conduct Department Promotion Committee meetings for promotions and reorganize the department in real sense.
Jaipal Sharma, president DEA; Ajaz Kazmi, General Secretary PPEU; Sanjeev Bali, president PPEU; Gurmeet Singh, president Non Gazetted Electrical Employees Union and others were also present in the meeting.
