JAMMU, Dec 1: Bishnah police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a pedestrian along with banned syrup bottles.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bishnah police station laid a naka at Palli Morh and asked a pedestrian to stop for checking as he was moving under suspicious circumstances.
On seeing police cops, the pedestrian tried to escape from the spot, but the cops chased and nabbed him after a brief chase.
During checking, police recovered 20 bottles of banned syrup and arrested the pedestrian, who has been identified as Vishal Sharma, son of Ram Paul, a resident of Dhiansar, Bari Brahmana.
A case under FIR Number 182/16 under relevant Sections has been registered against the accused at police station Bishnah and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Paramjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
