JAMMU, Apr 21: A woman was killed today in a road mishap in Channi area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a pedestrian namely Iram Tabassum (32) daughter of Manzoor Ahmed Wani, resident of Kilhotram, Gandoh (Doda), was hit and seriously injured today at Channi Bypass Road near Skoda showroom, when a speeding bike hit her.
The injured woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary of the hospital.
In this connection, a case was registered at police station Channi Himmat and investigations started.
