Ex-MLC accuses BJP of polarizing society

JAMMU, Apr 21:  PCC chief spokesperson and former MLC  Ravinder Sharma  blamed the BJP for polarizing the society for vote bank and threatening the traditional harmony in the State especially in Jammu region.
While speaking in a meeting of party workers at Sunderbani today, Sharma said that  BJP is making regular attempts to create a wedge in the communities which have lived in peace and harmony for centuries and maintained brotherhood despite provocations. The wrong approach of the present Government towards various issues have threatened the traditional peace and harmony in the state especially in Jammu region.
He held BJP ministers responsible for creating uncertainty in the Government, especially at a time when there is  Darbar move   and people have suffered a lot. It is a peculiar situation when a Minister after tendering his resignation suspended over two dozen employees. It is also unfortunate that Deputy Chief Minister has indulged in transfers  in Forest Department, while others are conducting tours. The present PDP-BJP Government has ignored the genuine demands and aspirations of people and indulged in all unfair means, he added.
Sharma appealed to the people to maintain peace and traditional communal brotherhood at all costs. He also asked the party workers to defeat the designs of  forces who are out to divide the society on communal lines for their vested interests.
Meanwhile, the PCC chief spokesperson expressed deep shock over the death of Hav Charanjit Singh, resident of Bhawani area of Nowshera, who injured in Pak firing in Akhnoor sector and attained martyrdom.
