UDHAMPUR, Sept 20: A pedestrian was killed in a road mishap after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Toldi Nallah on the National Highway, here today.
The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Kumar (51), son of Ram Lal, resident of Smailpur, near Bari Brahmana. He was apparently hit by a vehicle resulting into fatal injuries to him. Police shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
After completion of the postmortem and other legal formalities, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for his last rites.
