Excelsior Correspondent
KATHUA, Oct 18: J&K Peoples’ Democratic Trade Union (PDTU) has expressed strong displeasure over closing down of Employees State Insurance Dispensary of district Kathua.
In a memorandum to the State Chief Secretary through the Deputy Commissioner Kathua, the PDTU leaders alleged that the existing dispensary was catering to a large number of workers of Kathua daily but the Government has closed down the same without taking into account various difficulties being faced by labour class.
The deputationist led by its chairman Manohar Singh and others mentioned in the memorandum that Labour Department has remained a mute spectator to all this development. They have advocated for reopening of the said dispensary at an earliest.
