JAMMU, May 9: J&K People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Minority Cell in its meeting held under the chairmanship of A K Sidha its senior leader discussed various issues being faced by people in general and displaced community in particular.
The meeting was apprised by Mr Sidha that coalition Government is making sincere efforts in settling the problems being faced by masses but same will take some time.
The meeting expressed the hope that the Relief, Rehabilitation and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Basharat Bukhari will take initiative on the same pattern in settling other problems of the displaced people as he took in enhancement of cash assistance.
The meeting said the Government should adopt a concrete policy in redressing the problems of the displaced people once for all as the members of community have pinned high hopes in coalition Government led by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
The meeting demanded issuance of ration slips with bifurcation of registration cards, transport, boarding and lodging facilities for yatris to Kashmir Valley on occasion of Jeshtashtami falling on May 26 so that pilgrims can visit Kheer Bhawani Tulmulla, Manzgam, Khanbarnan, Devsar, Lokripora, Pahalgam, Tikkar Kupwara and other sacred places.
The meeting among others was attended by Sunil Bali, Sahab Ji, B B Sadhu, A K Dhar, D N Bhat, Bittu Ji Koul, Vinod Ji, Vir Ji, Bansi Lal and Anu Koul.
