RAJOURI, Feb 21: PDP leader Shahzad Khan visited border areas of Doongi, Challas, Derian, Amblan, Samyaan wherein he interacted with the villagers who put forth their woes and demands.
Shahzad demanded the State Government to look into the problems of the people. He said lack of basic civic amenities have added to their woes. Even in this age the ladies have to travel long distance to fetch water for cooking and drinking, he asserted.
He said that in most of the hamlets, there was no electricity due to which education of the children was hampering. He said that the rural electrification under RGGVY has been rendered defunct and nothing is being done to electrify these villages.
Shahzad said that the medical facilities are also not available to the people of these places, Lack of bus service is another problem being faced by the people of these border areas, said Shahzad.
He has urged the Government to look in the matter and welfare of the people.
