SRINAGAR, Nov 2: Stating that Congress has the legacy of uniting people and capacity of defeating communal forces like BJP-RSS, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president G A Mir said today accused PDP of enabling RSS to make inroads in the State for the sake of coming into power.
Concluding his two days visit to Ladakh division, Mir was addressing senior party leaders and workers of District Congress Committee Kargil today. He also reviewed the organizational affairs and activities in the district.
On this occasion, senior leaders, including MLA Haji Asgar Karbalai, former Minister Haji Nissar Ali, general secretary Gulam Raza and prominent party workers of the entire Kargil district briefed the PCC president of political activities of Congress party in the district.
Addressing the meeting, G A Mir emphasized that every Congressman is duty bound to contribute to overall development of the State and people, as that, Congress has served the people and it will continue fight for people’s rights.
Alleging that people were suffering immensely on every count due to wrong policies of the both State and Central Government, he said that the negative rhetoric on the part of BJP leadership was the manifestation of their insincerity and dual standards towards the State and people. He said both State and Centre were responsible for lack of development and alienation among the people while the process of equitable development of all the three regions has come to standstill.
“I am not puzzled to see the negative approach of BJP towards the State as they are in habit of sending confusing signals across the country aiming to change the narratives at the same time,” Congress president said but hastened to add that people have now realized what BJP- PDP is saying and what they are doing leading to the mistrust and deep alienation among the people in all the three regions.
Mir urged upon Congress workers to remain steadfast to serve the people.
