POONCH, Oct 23: The daily wagers and consolidated workers of Power Development Department (PDD) today held protest demonstration demanding release of their wages.
A large number of Power workers assembled near Bus Stand and took out a protest march towards the office of Deputy Commissioner, Poonch. They were shouting slogans in support of their demands.
Later, they held protest demonstration there for some time demanding that their pending wages be released before coming Diwali festival. They alleged that their families were facing starvation. They also demanded their regularization and opposed privatization move of the Government.
