JAMMU, Oct 25: Press Club of Jammu (PCJ) today accorded farewell to outgoing SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli and welcomed his successor Dr Vinod Kumar at a function in the Club premises.
DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range Shakti Pathak was also present. Chandan Kohli shared his experiences with the PCJ Management Committee as the SSP Jammu, Rajouri, districts of Kashmir and other postings in the Union Territory.
It may be mentioned here that after over two and half years stint as the SSP Jammu, Kohli has proceeded on Central deputation and posted in prestigious Cabinet Secretariat.
Dr Vinod Kumar also talked about his previous stints in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh including SP City North, SSP Kargil, Poonch and Udhampur and said his target is to keep Jammu district peaceful and free of drugs.
DIG Shakti Pathak spoke about working of all three districts of Jammu, Samba and Kathua under his jurisdiction.
PCJ president Sanjeev Pargal said the media persons got good cooperation from all three police officers and hoped that the trend will continue.
Former PCJ president Ashwani Kumar narrated his experiences of working in different fields especially with police and civil officers.
Secretary General Dinesh Manhotra and Vice President Zorawar Singh Jamwal also shared their experiences on the working of Police Department.
The Management Committee members present on the occasion include Nishikant Khajuria, Dinesh Mahajan, Vishal Bharti, Deepak Khajuria, Ajay Meenia and Govind Chauhan.
