UDHAMPUR, Dec 23 : MLA Udhampur, Pawan Gupta, today kick started the construction work of Mansar-Saurep road, which is being built with an estimated amount of 2.8 cr under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
While speaking on the occasion, Pawan Gupta said it is unfortunate that in last 12 years 37 Panchayats of Udhampur constituency were not included in PMGSY due to which there is poor network of roads. He said that if the past representatives of the public were aware, a big network of roads has been spread in the constituency.
The MLA said till today as an MLA he has done a lot to solve the problems related to power, which can be gauzed from the fact that he upgraded 80 power transformers and established 15 new power stations in his constituency. “Besides, many damaged roads were blacktopped”, he added.
Meanwhile, many people present on the occasion apprised the MLA about their grievances related to electricity and road connectivity. Gupta assured the people of Mansar and Jhar mohalla to install new power transformers in their areas so that may get relief from low voltage.
He also assured people to connect the Mansar-Saurep road to Dubreya via Saurep.
