UDHAMPUR, Feb 26: MLA Udhampur constituency, Pawan Kumar Gupta, today kick started blacktopping work of Darsoo to Guddar Road under PMGSY in the presence of engineers of PMGSY Department and local public.
While speaking on the occasion, the MLA divulged that the blacktopping work of 8.325 kms long road has been taken up in hand with cost of Rs 255 lacs. He exhorted on the engineers to maintain quality of the work and cautioned not to compromise on quality of material to be used in the work.
Gupta said that with the black topping of the road the long pending demand of the people of the area will be fulfilled. He said the road will prove to be useful in attracting more pilgrims to historical Shri Bagha Mata Ji temple.
The people of village Darsoo and Guddar further demanded immediate posting of Urdu teacher, construction of kitchen shed, boundary wall and repair of hand pump in Government High School Darsoo. They also demanded electrifying left out 5-6 houses, construction of bathroom in Masjid and approach way to Masjid.
The MLA listened to the people patiently and assured to fulfill the demands as early as possible. He also issued telephonic instructions to the Engineers of Ground Water Division Jammu for immediate repair of the Hand Pump.
