SAMBA, Mar 12: Deputy Commissioner Samba, R K Varma today ordered suspension of Patwari and Girdawar for facilitating encroachment on Government land.
An official spokesman said that after getting reports about encroachment of 32 kanal State land at Birpur, Deputy Commissioner directed Tehsildar Samba and Tehsildar Settlement Vijaypur to visit the spot and give factual report.
On the basis of their report, it was established that the State land was encroached with the involvement of Patwari Suram Singh and Girdawar Sushil Kumar. Accordingly, they have been placed under suspension.
Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) has been nominated as enquiry officer for detailed investigation into the case.
