UDHAMPUR, July 18: While concluding an extensive tour of Ramnagar assembly segment and addressing people during public interactions at various places, Ranbir Singh Pathania, spokesperson of J&K BJP underscored the need for actualization of Jal Jeevan Mission on ground.
He said that with respect to this ambitious scheme/programme of Modi Government, DPRs have been completed long back and appropriate funds have also been provided by the Central Government but nothing tangible has emerged on spot as yet and the people of the area are languishing for drinking water supply.
Pathania further called for immediate restoration of civil supplies in the aftermath of recent rains/flashfloods. He said that clogged roads, suspended drinking water supply and electricity lines as well as other essential services have been severely affected thereby causing serious hardships to the people. He called for an action plan to immediately restore civil supplies in the area.
He was accompanied by Jattu Ram, Member DDC from Ramnagar-II and Mool Raj, Member DDC from Ramnagar-I. Both the DDC members also took a detailed overview of public issues and grievances and called upon the UT dispensation to be sensitive to the public needs and aspirations and to ensure that the working of various departments/agencies of Government is more visible on ground.
The DDC members were accompanied by Pawan Kumar, Charan Dass, Krishan Chand, Chanchla Devi (Sarpanches), Romesh Chander, Raghuvir Singh, Kewal Kumar, local people and PRIs.
