UDHAMPUR, Nov 7: Ranbir Singh Pathania, spokesperson, J & K BJP, while touring riff-raff areas of Ramnagar and addressing largely attended meetings at Panjgrain, Dehma, Kalwanta and Ramnagar, has lampooned the wishy n’ wily political parties for creating an issue out of thin air regarding statehood status to J & K.
He said that statement made by Union Home Minister on the floor of Rajya Sabha on 5th of August, 2019 is very clear and categoric whereby he had assured statehood status to J & K. Given the peculiar situation, chronology and the strong political will of the present dispensation at the Centre, State of J & K was vivisected into two Union Territories and since then, political parties and leaders who have remained in power for decades and decades and paid least heed to the burning issues of J & K, have come out of a cocoon and started a virtual war on media regarding statehood status to J & K. and that people of J & K are wise and wary enough to see through misleading and hoodwinking tantrums and cries of desperation and pessimism of such rejected and spent-up forces.
While commenting on recent euphoria and self-esteem of JKNPP regarding winning of a few BDC Chairmen seats and the way money, muscle power, caste-based politicking has been unabashedly unleashed in Ramnagar and the chest-thumping and jingoism displayed thereafter, the civil society of Ramnagar have decided to rise high against such divisive, nasty tactics. Mentionably that, people of Ramnagar had wiped off JKNPP in the last Assembly elections, lock, stock and barrel for the same reasons.
He said public opinion and perception area also too sensitive ingredients of a democratic, civil society to be allowed to be perverted easily by posing stage-managed protests and getting published unilateral, partisan news in a section of print media and social media too.
