JAMMU, May 23: The 648th Parkash Utsav of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj was celebrated with great religious enthusiasm and devotion at Kattal Batal, in Nagrota. The grand religious congregation witnessed the participation of devotees from various parts of the region.
Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj graced the occasion as the chief guest and delivered a spiritual discourse that left the gathering inspired. Vijay Lochan, Chairman of JKNC SC Cell, was the guest of honour.
The programme was organized under the leadership of Rattan Lal, president of Guru Ravidass Sabha, Kattal Batal. The premises of the Sabha was beautifully decorated, and devotional songs and bhajans filled the air, creating a spiritual ambiance.
During the programme, Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj honoured Vijay Lochan for his selfless service towards the general public. Addressing the gathering, Swami Gurdeep Giri Maharaj said that Guru Ravidass Ji’s teachings of equality, love, and devotion are timeless and continue to guide humanity toward a just and compassionate society.
Gurdeep Giri Ji appealed the followers to walk on the path of righteousness and service as laid down by the revered Guru Ji.
Prominent among those who were present on this occasion included- Sham Lal, Master Baldev Raj, Lal Chand, Kuldeep Raj, Dogra , Raman Thappa and others.
