Param FC drubs Young Churchill ‘B’ to win title

JAMMU, June 17: Registering a convincing victory by two goals to nil (2-0) over Young Churchill ‘B’, Param Football Club lifted the title trophy of the ongoing 1st Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup Football League Tournament, organized by District Football Association (DFA) Jammu, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association at GGM Science College Football ground, here today.
For Param Football Club, the first goal was scored by Sunil in 37th minute of the match, while Arjun Singh pelted the second goal in 43rd minute.
Kavinder Gupta, Deputy Chief Minister J&K was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta and Former Minister Gulchain Singh Charak were the guests of honour.
The chief guest and the other dignitaries present on the occasion distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
The Tournament was held under the overall supervision of Sheikh Mehmood, President District Football Association, Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Yousuf Don, Mohan Lal, Charan Dass, Bharat Bhushan, Parveen Gupta, SM Gill, Featus Sotra and David Masih.
