UDHAPUR, July 30: Panthers Party workers today held a protest demonstration under the leadership of  Dhani Ram Atri,  State secretary JKNPP,   against the IRCON company which has been  allocated Rs 25  crores work for up gradation of power infrastructure in Udhampur town and it’s adjoining areas,
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Atri said that the work was allotted to IRCON company in 2014 for the improvement of power infrastructure in Udhampur area but due to negligent and apathetic approach of IRCON, not even 25 percent work has been completed till date. “The material being used is of very poor quality and this needs a high level probe for action against the persons responsible for the fault,” he added.
The Panther leader alleged that sub- contractors, who have been allotted work by IRCON, were not clearing the pending liabilities to labour from last six months. He demanded CBI probe in the large scale irregularities being committed by IRCON with support of PDD department.
