Panic grips Kathua as unknown miscreants damage parked cars

KATHUA, Apr 25: The panic gripped the people, parking their vehicles especially private cars in the parking lot at Shaheedi Chowk Kathua and they fear worst after the rare window screens of many four wheelers were damaged by unknown miscreants late last night.
As per reports the unknown miscreants created panic among the car owners who park their vehicles at much busy and high security zone Shaheedi Chowk, here after damaging the glasses of three cars during intervening night.
The passers by noticed the broken car glasses in the morning and informed their owners.
A police team reached the spot and started investigation. The back glasses of three cars were damaged and it was assumed the miscreants might have pelted bricks or stones on them. The car owners demanded stern action against the miscreants. It may be recalled that the Shaheedi Chowk is high security zone area and most busy area in the town. Four banks and ATM booths are situated in the area.
The car owners and commercial vehicles owners would like to park their vehicles in Shaheedi Chowk area assuming it as safe zone. The Kathua police is investigating the matter and verifying the CCTV footage of nearby establishments.
