NEW DELHI, June 7: In a Core Group meeting of Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) here, today, Kundan Kashmiri its President stated that overall situation in Kashmir Valley continues to be grim and demanded strong steps to be taken against the separatists and their supporters.
While taking stock of prevailing situation in Kashmir, Kundan Kashmiri said that it has become imperative to all nationalist forces, in particular Kashmiri Pandits, to get activated to defeat these pro–Pak elements and strongly impress upon the Government of India to hold a serious and result oriented dialogue with KP community in exile from the last 28 years for grant of separate Kashyap Bhoomi” within Valley for their honorable and dignified rehabilitation at the earliest as this is the only viable solution to problems of Kashmiri Pandit and a solution of so–called Kashmir issue.
He said isolating and ignoring KPs any more is not in the interest of the country and to testing the patience of the community youth could complicate the situation and demoralize the nationalist forces. He said in any dialogue Kashmiri Pandits are the principal party and will support only that proposal which strengthens the relation of J&K State with India and reject the autonomy, self rule and Azadi proposals which fanned separatism in the State. “We are fro complete merger of J&K with India by abrogating Article 370 and any recommendation which unsettles the settled issue of Kashmir would have serious repercussion and prove counter productive for the country”, he added.
While expressing his annoyance and anger over biased and negative comments over the Army General and others, KPC President demanded strong action against these negative elements, who should be booked under sedation.
He also demanded CBI probe to the killing of Sameer Bhat a Police cop by his colleague SPO Aijaz Ahmed and all necessary steps to be taken to find out the truth behind the mysterious death.
