Pak violates ceasefire

JAMMU, Aug 21: Pakistan army today again violated ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district by resorting to mortar shelling and firing on forward posts and civilian areas.
Reports said Pakistan army started firing and shelling in Sunderbani sector at 3.45 pm. The Indian side retaliated effectively, leading to exchanges, which lasted over an hour.
However, there were no casualties or damage on the Indian side. Casualties, if any, on the other side couldn’t be ascertained immediately.
Only yesterday, an Indian Army soldier Naik Ravi Ranjan Kumar Singh was martyred in Pakistan shelling and firing in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district while a civilian was killed in Mendhar sector. So far, nearly dozen Pakistan army personnel including an officer and a commando have been killed in retaliatory firing by the Indian troops.
