SRINAGAR, Apr 22: Security forces today arrested a Pakistani militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) from Pattan area of North Kashmir along with the driver of a car in which he was travelling.
A joint team of Army’s 29 RR, SOG of Police and CRPF stopped a car bearing registration number DL 12 CA 4189 at Chainabal. During searches, two persons including driver of the vehicle were arrested.
The vehicle was seized by the security forces while as the driver, identified as Tafazul Hussain of Nowgam Srinagar, and the militant, Aqib alias Waqar alias Chota Dujana were arrested.
One pistol along with a magazine, six rounds, one magazine of AK-47 and 11 rounds of AK-47 were recovered from the militant.
He was active in North Kashmir for last two years and was involved in recruiting youth in militancy.
