Pak, Cong echoing similar voices on Kashmir: Bali

JAMMU. Aug 30: Cautioning people against nefarious designs of vested interests, former Minister, Bali Bhagat today said that abrogation of Article 370 will usher an era of growth and development in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. He said that by scrapping this discriminatory Article, BJP led NDA Government has exhibited its commitment to fulfill wishes and aspirations of the people.
Addressing a function in connection with the on-going ‘Sadyasta Abhiyan’ in which large number of prominent person from Raipur-Domana Assembly segment joined BJP, Bhagat said that abrogation of Article 370 was bold and historic decision in the political history of J&K and this step would further strength nationalist forces in the State. He pointed out that this Article was shamelessly abused by some families just to further their petty person interests by hoodwinking gullible masses.
“Common people across J&K are happy with the abrogation of Article 370 because this decision will open a new phase of balanced growth in the State”, he said and added that only those who have developed vested interests in the name of ‘so-called special status’ were raising hue and cry.
He further added that the party is able to pave the way for a new India which is evident in decisions taken by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah on Article 370.
Lambasting Congress leadership for playing in the hands of Pakistan, former Minister regretted that controversial statements given by Congress leaders were quoted by the enemy country in its representation before the UNO. “It is astonishing that Congress and Pakistan are speaking same language on Kashmir”, he quipped, adding, “It appears that Congress leadership is taking directions from across the border to spread rumours on Kashmir to strength hands of enemy”.
