JAMMU, Oct 20: Revenue Department today conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Jammu and retrieved over 10 kanals of State land occupied illegally by some persons.
According to the reports, at around 6 AM today, a team of Revenue Department led by ADC Law & Order Jammu Harbinder Singh along with a Police team led by SP South Anita Sharma reached Chowdhary Service Station opposite to the office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu and removed the encroachment on state land of about 13 kanals.
Around 11 structures including permanent and makeshift were demolished at the site by the Revenue team with the help of a JCB machine. The whole anti-encroachment drive was conducted peacefully during which around 13 kanals of State land was retrieved.

Besides field staff of Revenue Department, SDM Jammu South Abhishek Abrol, Tehildar Bahu Rohit Sharma were also present on the occasion. SHO of the concerned Police station was also present during the anti-encroachment drive.
