Islamabad, Mar 8: Senior leaders of the three main opposition parties in Pakistan met to discuss their strategy on how best to move their proposed no-confidence motion to oust the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Dawn reported on Tuesday.
Head of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Maulana Fazlur Rehman along with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by senior members of their parties, arrived at former President and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari to give final touches to their no-trust move plan, but did not make any announcements thereafter in this regard.
This meeting took place at a time when the PPP’s long march, headed by Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, entered the limits of Rawalpindi district on GT Road on the last leg of the 10-day Awami March that began from Karachi on February 27. Later on Tuesday the marchers plan to reach the famous D-Chowk in front of the Parliament House, where Bilwal Bhutto is expected to make some important announcements. (UNI)
