RAMNAGAR, Jan 21: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Ramnagar turned the tables on Opposition for shedding crocodile tears and crying wolf, over ‘discrimination with Jammu’.
While addressing a massive gathering of booth presidents of Ramnagar Mandal at Town Hall here, today, he said at least one silver lining which has emerged out is that, ‘ Jaichands of Jammu’ after being rejected by the people have overnight become votaries of empowerment of Jammu.
He said let the so called votaries of Jammu come up and answer that in whose rule biggest political injustice was emitted out to the people of Jammu when lesser number of seats in Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha and Panchayats were allocated to it despite having larger area and greater number of populace?
He asked in whose reign and rule, seat-freeze law barring delimitation till 2026 was passed? Who played havoc with the reports of Wazir Commission, Gajendra Gadkar Commission and Sikri Commission? Who sat on the dissenting notes of the members of Finance Commission, Swami Raj Sharma and Sonam Dawa?
He also asked that in whose time such mechanisms and practices were put into play which create a situation where people of Jammu as well as Ladakh get lesser share in employment, selection in professional courses, denial of rights to West PoK refugees, forced exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Valley and other disparities in promotion of tourism, horticulture, agriculture, road connectivity, educational avenues, irrigation facilities, sports nurturing avenues and so on and so forth?
Pathania also inaugurated blood donation camp arranged by Shri Nirankari Mission at GHSS Majalta. He kick started macadamization (Stage-II) works of Gurlang to Sullan road under PMGSY at the estimated cost of 05.00 crore. The road will benefit more than five thousand people of the adjoining areas, he added.
