JAMMU, June 29: Jammu Province People’s Forum (JPPF) has demands opening of all religious places immediately for the public.
While talking to media persons, here today, M S Katoch, the working President of the Forum, said that deputations of people met the JPPF officials to take up this issue with the authorities to allow all religious places to function immediately.
“Saints and Pujaries of many temples are annoyed on account of closures of places of worships for such a long time on one hand and on the other nobody from Government enquired about the welfare of the managerial staff of many religious places who were totally dependent on these places of worship,” he said adding that closure of temples has forced them to live in measurable conditions and even many other vendors around the places of worships are passing through many hardships.
“Therefore we the members of JPPF request Government to ensure opening of all religious places without any fail during second unlockdown,” he said.
Katoch further explained that religious places are the places where people go and pray to God for their well being and is matter of faith too. “But now for more than 3 months, many people could not visit and pray which is another matter of severe stress. Opening of religious places will not only help many to generate their livelihood but will also relieve many from mental stress,” he added.
Katoch requested the Lt Governor G C Murmu to personally look into the matter and allow all temples such as Mata Vaishno Devi, Mata Sukrala Devi, Shri Raghunath Ji temple, Shivkhori, Maa Bawe Wali at the earliest so that people could pray to the Almighty for well being of masses of not only India but of global communities also.
