Vote BJP for stability: Raina

LEH, (LADAKH) Apr 30: Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju hitted out at successive Congress Governments at the Centre and the State for deliberately discriminating against the Ladakh region.
Addressing the election rallies at Diskit in Nobra Valley and Zansker Valley, BJP Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that only his party can do justice to nationalist people of Ladakh region.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina, BJP’s MP candidate, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and former Minister and MLC Tsering Dorje also accompanied him.
Rijiju said it is the Modi led BJP Government, which had, for the first time, addressed the long pending demands of people of Leh, Nobra, Kargil and Zanskar which had been deliberately ignored by Congress and its allies because of their Kashmir-centric priorities.
He said, the people of Ladakh have realized that only a BJP-led Government can do justice with them.
He further said the demand for granting an exclusive divisional status to the Ladakh region was conceded by the Modi Government during the Governor’s rule and the demand for the UT status for Ladakh would also be followed up in the same spirit.
He also highlighted that the demand to include the “Bothi” language in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution had been taken up with his Ministry and Home Department, before the election process began and assured that it will be followed up after the elections are over.
Kiren Rijiju said that there is a strong wave in favor of BJP in whole Ladakh region and people love to see Prime Minister, Modi to be again sworn as the Prime Minister of India and hoped that BJP will sweep the MP seat in Ladakh with huge margin.
He said, the benefit of free gas cylinder and rural electrification, to add connectivity, health facilities, Medical College at Leh, Ladakh University, many colleges, New High Secondary schools and High schools was provided in Ladakh during the five years of Modi Government and the expansion of the Leh Airport, inclusion of Kargil for an airport under the UDAAN Scheme and a new University for the students are some of the most recent measures announced by the Modi Government.
He assured the Ladakhis that the developmental thrust will continue in future as well.
Seeking a vote in his, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal while addressing the rallies said Congress party whenever remained in power did injustice with the people of Ladakh and did nothing for the betterment of people of the region. He assured the people that after being elected as MP, he will do all his best to bring justice to the people of Ladakh.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina appealed the public to vote in favour of BJP in order to ensure political stability and development in Ladakh and support PM Modi by gifting the Ladakh seat to BJP.
MLC Tsering Dorje also highlighted the developmental works being taken up during the Modi Government in Ladakh and appealed the locals to vote BJP.
