Online Exhibition of Rahi’s works on Aug 9

JAMMU, Aug 1: J&K Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) is organising an Online Art Exhibition of paintings by veteran artist V.S Rahi of New Delhi on August 9, 2020 to celebrate his 92nd birthday.
A handout of JKCCA stated that it would be an inspiring experience for the new generation artists to have a glimpse of fifty art works including drawings, paintings and B&W paintings in typical style of Rahi, the great artist of the country still active in the field of creativity at the age of 92.
Rahi has contributed a lot in promoting art through his contributions at various capacities in different levels.
He remained Advisor of J&K Centre for Creative Arts; Ex-Vice President of All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society, New Delhi; Senior Advisor- Art Syllabus Committee, CBSE etc.
For his contribution in the field of art, he has been awarded with honours like ‘Rashtriya Chitrakar’, Kala Shree, Kalaratna, Veteran Artists Honour for his services to art & artists, Diamond Jubilee Award by AIFACS, New Delhi, etc.
