Srinagar, Aug 1: Nine persons died of COVID-19 in Kashmir today taking the number of such deaths in Jammu and Kashmir to 388 while 468 Novel Coronavirus cases were reported from Valley, taking the overall tally in J&K to 20972.
A 75 year old woman from Zakoora area of Srinagar who was admitted in SKIMS Soura two days ago died today and she tested positive after death.
A 62-year old man from Qamarwari area of Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS Soura last month of 19th died today.
A 75 year old man from Panzinara ara of Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS last month on 18th died today.
A 57 year old woman from Rainwari area of Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS Soura on 26th of last month died today.
A 75 year old man from Lal Bazar area of Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS Soura on 28th of last month died today.
A 75 year old man form Rajbagh area of Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS Soura on 28th of last month died today.
A 6 year old man from Babdem area of Khanyar Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS Soura on 26th of last month died today.
A 70 year old man from Khanyar area of Srinagar who was admitted to Chest Diseases hospital Srinagar on 30th of last month with bilateral pneumonia died today. His body has been kept in GMC mortuary as his test report is awaited.
A 75 year old man from Lalbazar area of Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS Soura on 28th of last month died today.
A 55 year old woman from Tral area of Pulwama admitted to CD hospital died this morning. She was suffering from bilateral pneumonia and was admitted to hospital yesterday. She tested positive after death.
With these, the number of deaths in Jammu and Kashmir has gone upto 388 with 360 in Kashmir and 28 in Jammu.
Kashmir today reported fresh 468 Novel Coronavirus cases, taking the overall tally in J&K to 20972.
Srinagar reported 305 cases, Baramulla 23, Pulwama 58, Kulgam 4, Shopian 16, Anantnag 12, Budgam 14, Kupwara 4, Bandipora 22 and Ganderbal 10.
In Kashmir, Srinagar tops the list with 5091 cases followed by Baramulla with 1924, Pulwama 1538, Kulgam 1508, Shopian 1508, Anantnag 1311, Kupwara 1098, Budgam 1291, Bandipora 755 and Ganderbal 421.
An official said that SKIMS Medical College lab processed 346 samples and 30 tested positive for COVID-19. Twenty nine of them are from Bandipora and one from Srinagar.
Meanwhile, 558 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals of Kashmir.
