One more nabbed for ferrying militants

JAMMU, Feb 12: National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested one more person in the much publicised case relating to ferrying of militants in which several persons including DySP Devinder Singh have already been nabbed.
The newly arrested person has been identified as Tanveer Ahmed Wani alias Tanveer  Bardaa, who was also produced before the Special Judge NIA Subash C Gupta for seeking police remand.
After going through the application moved by A D Negi, Superintendent of Police NIA, the court granted 15 days police remand of the accused Tanveer Ahmed Wani, who was arrested on February 10 from Delhi.
“Keeping in view the facts and the circumstances of the case, gravity and heinousness of the crime as involved in the present matter, submissions made by the CIO and the stage of the investigation of the case, the court is of the considered view that the custodial interrogation of the accused is imperative to facilitate the ongoing investigation”, the Judge said.
