KISHTWAR, Nov 25: One person was killed, while two others got injured, when the Maruti van, they were traveling in, skidded off the road and turned turtle near Kandni area of the district.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-7897 was on its way to Kandni from Kishtwar, when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle turned turtle, resulting into injuries to three persons.
After getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the three injured persons to District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar, where doctors pronounced one of them as brought dead, while the condition of two others was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The deceased have been identified as Irshad Ahmed (25), son of Mohammad Yousuf of Sagoomad, while as injured were identified as Akhter Hussain, son of Abdul Rashid and Altaf, son of Ghulam Hassan.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
