JAMMU, June 8: A man was killed while two others were injured today due to landslide in Dungi area falling within the jurisdiction of police station Khour.
According to a police spokesman, today at about 5.30 pm, three persons were going to their home on foot after attending Baba Jindo Mela at Mongrewala, when a landslide occurred at Dungi and trio came under came under the debris of land slide.
In the mishap, a Government teacher namely Kamal Kishore (47) son of Dhani Ram, resident of Pukhrni died on the spot while his son Sahil Sharma (16) and Inder Kumar (35) son of Kali Dass, resident of Pukhrni, sustained serious injuries.
The injured persons were shifted to SDH Sunderbani and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
