One killed, three injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Nov 2: One person was killed while three others including two children were injured in separate road accidents in city outskirts.
According to a police official, a woman identified as Nirmala (40) son of Raj Kumar, resident of Gurha (Keran), received serious injuries late this evening when a scooty, which she was riding, was hit by a tanker at Barnai.
He said the woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while Domana police had taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, a man identified as Ravinder Singh (43) son of Ujal Singh, resident of Digiana, his 13-year-old daughter, Sharandeep Kour and a 5-year-old child namely Kashish Sharma (5) daughter of Ganesh Dass, were injured when a bike on which they were travelling, was hit by a speeding car near Ban Toll Plaza.
The injured persons were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
