One killed six injured in road accidents

JAMMU, May 25: One person was killed and six others were injured in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a person was killed while his companion was injured when the bike they were going on, got slipped near Jagti, Nagrota. The dead has been identified as Sudesh Singh (25) son of Rajinder Singh of Panjgrian and the injured has been identified as Susheel (23) son of Mohan Lal of Nagrota.
The dead body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, while the injured is also undergoing treatment in the same hospital.
In another road mishap at Jagti, Nagrota, a woman and her five year old son was injured when the motorcycle on which they were travelling, was hit by an Army vehicle. The injured have been identified as Darshna Devi (25) wife of Ashwani of New Plot, Jammu and their son Dheeraj.
Three persons were also injured when the Tempo in which they were travelling turned turtle after one of the tyres of the vehicle burst at Tanda in tehsil Akhnoor. The injured have been identified as Preetam Singh (65), Ajay Kumar (30) son of Mulkh Raj of Sunderbani and Gurmukh Singh (65) son of Bhola Singh of Sunderbani.
All the injured have been shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
