JAMMU, Aug 4: One person was killed and one another received serious injuries in a road accident occurred late last night in Bishnah area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the mishap occurred on Bari Brahmana-Bishnah road. He said an unidentified motorcycle being rashly driven by an unknown person hit and seriously injured a pedestrian namely Mukesh Kumar son of Dileep Kumar, resident of Knhal (Bishnah).
He said the pillion rider of the bike namely Vipan Sharma son of Bishan Dass, resident of Knhal, also fell down following mishap and received serious injuries. “Both the injured were immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital, Bishnah from where Mukesh was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu where doctors declared him as brought dead,” he added.
The official said that a case in this connection was registered at police station Bishnah and further investigation started.
