SAMBA, Dec 14: One person was killed, while one another got injured in road accidents here.
As per police sources, a person identified as Raj Kumar (46), son of Laaju Ram, a resident of village Channi Kamala, tehsil Vijaypur died after being hit by an unknown vehicle on Jammu- Pathankot National Highway near Gurha Morh, Vijaypur late last night.
After completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, a lady got injured, when the scooty she was riding on was hit by an Alto car near village Gagore on Ramgarh-Vijaypur road.
The woman identified as Santosh Kumari (62), wife of Raj Kumar, a resident of Swankha Morh, Vijaypur was rushed to Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur and was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where she was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
Police has taken cognizance in both the cases.
