UDHAMPUR, July 10: One person was killed, while four others received injuries in road accidents, here today.
As per reports, a scooty bearing registration number JK14C-8980 was hit by Innova car bearing registration number JK01Q-3226 at Lower Mand, here, in which one person received injuries.
The injured person was shifted to PHC Tikri, where doctors declared him as brought died. The deceased has been identified as Gian Chand (50), son of Golabu Ram of Dansal, Jammu.
The Innova car driver identified as Irshad Ahmed, son of Mohammad Sadiq of Baramulla has been arrested.
In another accident, a youth identified as Rashab Plasar (22), son of Shashi Pal of Muthi Jammu received injuries, when the motorcycle he was riding slipped near Tirki, here. The injured youth has been shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where he was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
Meanwhile, three members of a family received injuries when the Alto K-10 car (JK14D-8345), they were traveling in met with accident at Tikri.
The injured persons identified as Sandeep Khajuria (35), resident of Udhampur, his 30-year-old wife Kanchan Khajuria and child Ditra Khajuria have been shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
Cases relevant Sections have been registered and investigation started.
