JAMMU, July 10: While constituting a Fact Finding Team on the deteriorating medical facilities in the main medical institutions, Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) has expressed its concern and urged the State Health Minister Bali Bhagat to look for himself and set the public grievances redressed especially in view of the abrupt rise in the public complaints about the prestigious medical institutions.
Addressing a meeting president of the Forum Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj said that the Government has failed to provide required medical facilities including medicines on reasonable rates. Exorbitant rates are being charged for different medical tests and X-rays have burdened a common man who can’t afford medicines even, while demanding transparency in all medical institutions and health problems being faced by public in our main medical institutions including GMC & Hospital, Super Specialty Hospital Jammu and mainly SMVD Narayna Hospital Kakaryal Panthal JPPF decided to constitute a Fact Finding Team who will visit all these hospitals and give a report to president for necessary action. Rajesh Thakur, Pritam Sharma, Avinash Bhatia,Rajinder Gupta and Ch Kamalsingh were nominated to the said Committee.
Preeti Chowdhari who apart from other social work is supporting rural youth in the field of sports was asked to prepare a data base of sportspersons associated with her and submit the same in the next meeting scheduled for July 22.
In view of positive reports for service and medicare facilities members appreciated the working of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar and Sarwal.
Besides, Working President MS Katoch the meeting was attended by Avinash Bhatia, Ch Kamal Singh, ML Sharma, Suneeta Sharma, Preeti Chowdhari, Prof OP Sharma, Pritam Sharma, Rajesh Thakur, PS Slathia, Kuldip Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Romit Mehra, Balbir Kumar, Vikram Kumar, Nirmal Singh Jamwal, Darshansingh Bhatia and Ajit Singh Adyal.
