KISHTWAR/DODA, June 7: One person was killed, while five others received injuries in accidents, here today.
As per police sources, an Eco car bearing registration number JK14D-7503 was on its way to Bhata village from Thathri, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge at Sigdi Gowari, resulting into on the spot death of one person and injuries to four others.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals shifted the injured persons to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Chatroo from where they were later referred to District Hospital Kishtwar and further referred to Command Hospital Udhampur, where they were undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
The body of the deceased identified as Bihari Lal, son of Prem Nath, a resident of Thathri was handed over to legal heirs after conducting autopsy.
The injured have been identified as Dev Raj (driver), son of Om Parkash, Sumatra Devi, wife of Lekh Raj, Lila Devi, wife of Tara Chand and Madhu Sharma, wife of Dev Raj, all residents of Thathri.
A case in this regard has been registered at Chatroo police station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a man received injuries, when the A-star car bearing registration number JK22-9911 he was driving plunged into gorge near Animal Husbandry Office Gandoh, today morning.
The injured identified as Parvaiz Ahmad of Kashmir was shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Gandoh, where he was responding to the treatment, when reports last poured in.
A case in this regard has been registered at Gandoh police station and investigation started.
