SRINAGAR, July 11: Meanwhile, one person died and sixteen others were injured in other road accidents across the valley.
Reports said that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01D-4816 hit a boy, Faizan Ahmad Bhat aged three years son of Manzoor Ahmad resident of ParisabadPora near ParisabadPora, Budgam, resulting in his on spot death. The body of the boy was handed over to his next of kins for last rites.
A Tata 407 school bus (excursion bus) bearing registration number JK04A/5957 and a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03/3089 collided at Koreil, D H Pora Kulgam, resulting in minor injuries to seven passengers including a school girl, Urej Riyaz daughter of Riyaz Ahmad resident of Bagath Srinagar. All the injured have been discharged from hospital after first aid.
An Innova bearing registration number JK01/5358 hit and injured, Waseem Ahmad Hajam son of Abdul Gaffar resident of Ganeshibal at Ganeshbal, Aishmuqam in Anantnag district. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police registered a case in this regard.
A motor cycle bearing registration number JK01N/2212 skidded off the road at Saida Kadal, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist and his two pillion and a pedestrian, Azhar Mushtaq Bagwan son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Fateh Kadal, Junaid Firdous Matta son of Firdous Ahmad resident of S.D Colony Batmaloo, Faizan Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmad resident of Narparistan-Fateh kadal and Raja Imtiyaz son of Raja Mahboob Ali resident of Butraj Colony. All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK07/0736 skidded off the road at village Koker Bagh, Khag-Budgam, resulting in injuries to four passengers. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment.
