JAMMU, Feb 11: Khour police today arrested a bootlegger along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police team from Khour police station arrested a bootlegger identified as Surinder Kumar, son of Manna Ram of Potha.
During checking, police recovered 27 pouches of J&K Excise liquor from his possession which he was carrying to make illegitimate profits by selling them among the general public of the area.
A case under FIR number 12/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Khour and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Surinder Raina made the arrest.
