Grant ST status to Pahari community: JKPPM

RAJOURI, Feb 11: Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Peoples Movement (JKPPM) asked the Government to grant ST status to the Pahari community or face the wrath of people in the forthcoming assembly elections.
Addressing the convention here president of JKPPM Amjad Ali said that the community is demanding ST status for the past 27 years, but till date no action has been taken in this regard.
He informed that the people of the Pahari community will launch mass people contact in order to defeat the coalition partners in the assembly elections.
State president Pahari Youth Abdul Qadar Khan, Naveed Khan, Shahbaz Khan, Amir Mir, Lohitaksh Kochhar, Manjeet singh, MR Khan, Aleem Ahmed, Naseeb Singh, Tilak Raj, Susheel Kumar and Danish Mughal were also present.
