RAMBAN, Apr 17: On the directions of SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar, Police here today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 36 bottles of illicit liquor including 30 of 250 ml and six of 750 ml from his possession.
The arrested person was identified as Leel Chand, son of Nathi Ram, resident of Sana, Tehsil Batote.
Cops from Police Station Batote while on special Naka near Bhaderwah Morh in Batote arrested the bootlegger while he was illegally selling liquor.
An FIR with number 53/2024 under Section 48 (a) of the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Batote in this regard and investigation started.
