RAMBAN, Sept 22: A drug peddler along with 8 grams of heroin was nabbed today by Ramban Police.
“During naka checking, a team of Police Station Dharamkund headed by PSI Arun Jasrotia signaled to stop one motor cycle bearing registration number JK19-4991, driven by Farhan Ahmed alias Munna son of Fareed Ahmed, resident of Sangaldan along with pillion rider, Mukesh Kumar son of Soba Ram, resident of Sangaldan, who were going from Ramban towards Sangaldan,” a police spokesperson said.
He said bike rider on seeing the naka party stopped the motorcycle at 50 to 60 feet away from naka point and were trying to flee away from the spot but the Police team apprehended tactically one person but the other fled from the spot. He said during checking, 5 to 10 grams of heroin (Chita) like narcotic substance was recovered from below the seat of the motor cycle.
“In this regard, a case FIR Number 57/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in Dharamkund Police Station and further investigation started,” he added.
