JAMMU, Oct 1: One fresh case of Dengue was reported today taking the total number of people affected with Dengue virus in Jammu region to 28.
According to BS Pathania, Director Health Jammu, an 18 year old youth belonging to Doda district was found to be affected with Dengue some days ago after his blood sample was tested in District Hospital, Doda. However, after successful treatment and recovery from the disease, the youth was discharged from the hospital.
He said with this fresh case of Dengue, the total number of patients affected with this vector-borne disease in Jammu province has reached to 28.
Yesterday, six people including four male and two females were found to be affected with Dengue after their blood samples were tested in Micro-Biology lab of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. Out of these six patients, four belonged to Jammu district while two from Kathua district.
